Okay, maybe the title is a bit ambitious… Wands, like anything else may not be for EVERYONE. Certainly there are people who don’t enjoy them as nothing works for everybody. However, today I’m taking on the notion that wands are only for women. You see, I was recently at a sex ed class (fun, no?) where they had a raffle and the prize was a wand massager. The instructor pulled the winning entry, announced the (male sounding) name and a guffaw went up from one of the men in the class. The teacher asked if he had just won and he said “no, it’s just funny that it’s a guy, what’s he going to do with it”. The instructor went on to explain that wands are not a gender-specific toy and there are several ways a man could use one. So, now I’m sharing that message with you!
First of all, toys don’t have genders to begin with. Many sex toys can work on people of different genders: g-spot toys can often work for prostate stimulation, clitoral toys can work for perineal stimulation, etc. A wand can be held to the base of a dildo or butt plug for some extra sensation, it can be used to massage the perineum, or it can be run along the penile shaft… all of that could feel amazing and we haven’t even gotten to attachments yet! The addition of a stroker attachment can take masturbation to the next level and a g-spotting attachment can help locate (and stimulate) the prostate.
So, don’t count out wands (or anything that can give you pleasure) based on gender. It’s just a tool and it can be used to stimulate anyone!
