There are some things where the brand doesn’t matter much (my inexpensive handbag does the job just as well as a branded one!) but a Magic Wand massager is definitely not one of them! Believe it or not, the internet unfortunately has some scammers peddling counterfeit Magic Wands to unsuspecting consumers. These poor folks think they are getting a great deal but may be getting a toy made with unsafe electronics and poorly made internal mechanics. This means they will feel weaker, break easily, and possibly be dangerous. There’s nothing sexy about that!
So when it comes to the Magic Wand massager, how do you know you’re getting the real McCoy? First off, avoid sites like eBay and Amazon and be sure to purchase your wand from an authorized Magic Wand dealer (see our “Where to buy page”). Secondly, look closely at the massager you are buying. The corded, Magic Wand Original should have a rectangular blue plate surrounding the on-off switch. Some knock-offs have appeared that have oval-shaped switch plates. Also look at the packaging. For the Magic Wand Original it should match what you see on this page.
Finally, don’t be tempted by a surprisingly low price tag. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is! Remember that knock-offs won’t have the power or reliability the Magic Wand is known for, and may even be unsafe. Make sure your Magic Wand massager is the genuine article and you’ll have a toy that you can safely enjoy for years to come!
